Global South

South, (in the US more commonly the “Global South”) is a term denoting the economically disadvantaged countries in Africa, Asia, the Pacific, the Americas and the Caribbean. The contrast it implies is with the economically developed “North” - Europe, Japan, the US and Australasia.
