Getting to Outcomes (GTO) helps practitioners to formulate planning, implementation and evaluation strategies for programs and policies. Developed by the National Center for the Advancement of Prevention and designed with substance abuse prevention programs in mind, GTO promotes methods for planning, implementation, evaluation, and guaranteeing sustainability. Its approach to results-based accountability is written for specialists in many fields (eg, treatment, prevention, education) and for various audiences, including practitioners, program directors, and evaluators.
